Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations Policy

We understand that sometimes plans change. This policy explains how to return, exchange, or cancel your order from Electric Motorsport.

Return Policy

Return Window

You must request authorization to return an item within 30 days of the purchase date.

How to Start a Return

  1. Request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number via our Contact Us page.
  2. Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of your return package.
    Returns without an RMA will be refused.

Item Condition Requirements

Returned items must be:

  • New and unused
  • Fully functional and free of cosmetic damage
  • In original packaging with all parts included

Inspection Notice: Items not meeting these standards will not be refunded, and you will be responsible for return shipping.

Restocking Fee

Accepted returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Shipping Charges

Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns on:

  • Used, damaged, or altered products
  • Items missing original packaging or parts
  • Software-related items (e.g., controller/calibrator bundles)
  • Batteries (classified as Hazardous/Dangerous Goods)
  • Cut wire or cable (except unused Drive System/BMS cables)
  • Items without an active warranty
  • Opportunity Buys section or eBay purchases
  • Sevcon controllers not purchased individually

Exchanges

We are happy to process exchanges on eligible items.

Exchange Requirements:

  • Item must be new, unused, and in resalable condition

Order Cancellations

Need to cancel an order? Visit our Contact Us page or call us.

Cancellation Terms:

  • Orders already shipped cannot be cancelled
  • Special-order items cannot be cancelled once submitted to the manufacturer
  • Approved cancellations are subject to a 10% cancellation fee

Order Issues & Defects

Received the wrong item or a defective product?

  • Our Error: We’ll issue a full refund or store credit
  • Manufacturer Defect: You may be referred directly to the manufacturer

Always request an RMA number before returning any item.

Lost, Damaged, or Missed Shipments

Lost/Damaged in Transit

  • All shipments are insured
  • Notify us immediately if your package is lost or arrives damaged by using our Contact Us page

Stolen After Delivery

We are not responsible for packages stolen after delivery unless a signature was requested at checkout.

Missed Deliveries

  • Use your tracking number to coordinate redelivery with the carrier
  • If a shipment is returned to us, we can reship it to you at your expense
