Motor

The ME1008 is a Brush-Type, Permanent Magnet DC motor with very high efficiency. Capable of 6.4 KW continuous and 20 KW for 30 seconds (at 72 VDC). For voltages from 12 to 72 VDC input and 100 amps continuous (300 amps for 1 minute). Designed for battery operated equipment. Motor weight of 39 pounds.

Contactor

Contactors (also known as solenoids) are used to connect and disconnect main battery buss power. When it is time to turn your vehicle on or off, the contactor will engage or disengage the power at the flip of a switch. This is very usefull in an emergency situation when main power needs to be turned off quickly and easily.

When using an Alltrax controller, the contactor coil Voltage must match the nominal Voltage of your battery pack. It is highly recommended that an appropriate pre-charge resistor (included) and a coil spike suppression diode (included) be used with the contactor.
